Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter got hit with a softball on her lower leg last June. There was a large lump, which turned into a bruise. The bruising went away, but the lump is still there. It is almost a year later and the lump is still there. Why is the lump not going away?
Lump after hit from a ball is because of bleeding and inflammation. After 1 year if it is persisting then it suggests that blood is collected there. For that ultrasound of area over the swelling could be done and if required removal can be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards
