What Does A Lump On The Right Wrist Indicate?

I have a pointy bone that has come up on my right wrist on the radial side. I have been having pain in my thumbs on both hands but the right hand is the worst. I have played piano and guitar all my life ( I am 59). Any idea of what this could be and do I need to consult with my GP on this.

Hi,

It may be a ganglion or exostosis. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Please get an X-ray of the wrist joint and consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
