Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is 59 years old has not felt well the last couple of days thought he had the flu, but has a hard large lump on his upper thigh and it is swollen up into the groin area a small area below the lump is red, but not hot to the touch. He is running a temperature and vomited about an hour ago. It s the weekend, is this something we should wait out or go to the emergency room?
Good day and thank you for posting this question. Please don't wait this is an emergency, kindly take your husband to the ER (emergency room) because he most likely having a strangulation of inguinal hernia and a quick and urgent surgical intervention would help him tremendously. I hope it helps. Thank you.
