What Does A Lump On The Throat Indicate?

Hi I am a 50 yr old female and I have a lump in front of my throat just beneath my jaw in the center under my skin not visible but round and under my skin thats tender and mildly painful to the touch. I m afraid that it may be some sort of cyst. What could it possibly be?

I understand your concern. There are many causes of neck swelling. Thw way you are telling, it seems to be an inflammed/infected lymph node. Clinical examination must be done to proceed further. Visit your GP. Hope my answer helps you. Thank you for contacting healthcare magic.
