Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an oval lump in my upper arm. It is located on the side nearest my body. It is shaped like an egg and I would say it is about that size. I just noticed it two days ago by appearance. It does not hurt. I have a physical in two weeks can I wait until then to have it checked? Thanks, Kim.
Painless lump in the location you are describing could be a lipoma or sebaceous cyst. Both are benign conditions and not to be worried about. Please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider as scheduled to confirm the diagnosis. Both these conditions can be removed surgically.
