What Does A Numb Spot Below The Lower Lip Indicate?

About 10 days ago I noticed a spot just below my bottom lip on the right side was numb. Its not a large area, maybe about the size of a nickel. No pain, just numb. I did have a brain MRI like 20 years ago that presented with some white spots on my brain. At that time the doctors ruled out MS as I had no symptoms. Should I be concerned about this?

The numb spot below and around your lip doesnot seem to be because of anything in your brain.
It can be because of hypoglycaemia/hypocalcemia/sign of impending shingles/allergy to certain food,medications,chemicals.

If you suspect any recent exposure to certain food esp sea food or chemical/medications with experiencing of these symptoms you may take oral cetrizine,anti histaminic once aday for 3 days.
Besides,as the numb spot has been present for more than 10 days, advice certain investigations like fasting blood glucose,serum calcium levels.
Lowering of calcium levels are also associated with muscle ache,muscle spasm and fatigue.Do you have such symptoms?

You also need to look for and report immediately if the area of numbness increases with headache,or if you have muscle weakness,vision problems.This signifies impending stroke.
Look for appearance of any red blister over the area or development of redness and warmth in the area signifying shingles.
