General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms can be related to many medical conditions. The most common cause of swollen ankle is rheumatologic diseases.

I recommend doing some laboratory testing to evaluate kidney and liver function.

I also recommend doing rheumatoid factor level for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
