What Does A Painful Bump Between The Buttocks Indicate?
i had a very painful bump on my buttcrack and the pain was very intense. i could barely sit down and doing the smallest things were painful. So i went to the doctor because it started bleeding and i didnt know what it was. The doctor squeezed and said i had an infected boil so she gave me infection and pain pills. The pain immediately stopped after she drained it and it continued draining a little for a week but today i felt alot of pain the whole day until the night, when it started to bleed alot again like when i was at the doctors, also the skin around it is very senditive and turned into a purple like color. Its been 13 days now since it all started. What should i do ?
It is possible since the pain is recurring that the pus has recollected. This means that the boil/abscess may be reforming. It may need to be re incised. Incision and drainage are the definitive treatment for abscess/boil. If the antibiotic course has been completed, this would also need to be restarted as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
