What Does A Painful Bump On The Shoulder Along With Sore Throat Indicate?
I had a grape sized bump appear on the top of my shoulder. It was slightly painful, but disappeared in a few days. Then I got another one in my neck right under the back of my jaw, Painful too but starting to get smaller now and I had a fever for a day and sore throat.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You have got lymph node swelling due to sore throat. Lymph nodes are protective organs and prevent spread of infection body. Whenever there is sore throat, infective organisms drain to lymph nodes in upper neck and they swell. You need not to worry. Swelling will decrease once sore throat has subsided. Please start Betadine gargles. Avoid cold foods.
Hope this is useful.
