Have a soft raised spot on the back of my head that is mushy and very painful to the touch. I have had it for about 3 months now and get headaches every day. Doctor put me on 10 days of antibiotics thinking it was an infection, because my white blood cell count was high. After I finished the antibiotics the only thing that changed was the white blood cell count. It went back to normal. The spot on my head is still there, mushy, painful and headaches remain. I had an ultrasound which came back normal and I saw a Dermetologist that said it could be shingles, but honestly doesn t know and said to get an MRI. No results on the MRI yet. What could this possibly be?
