Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lump in my knee, not sure what it could be? A month ago I had an arthroscopic partial meniscectomy and debridement of my medial meniscus as I had a tear. Now I have a lump above one of my incisions that s causing an increase in pain upon bending and bearing weight on my knee. The lump is hard to touch and painful. Not sure what this could be.
* As per my surgical experience, the lump on the knee with pain indicates most probable inflammation at the site.
* The reason can be post-surgical scar inflammation or else, which has to be evaluated via clinical examination and managed accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
