Hi I have a very painful lump under the left side of my ear right on the jaw line. The first time I noticed this was about 27 years ago. back then it was very small about size of a pea and sometimes was painful when I pressed on it, It did not change the size and never bothered me until few years ago started gradually changing the size to much larger. This started after I had acupressure treatment of my entire head few years ago at which time it hurt and started gradually getting bigger and painful. It is now about the size of a nickel.The lump is very hard and painful. I can only feel it by touching on my skin. I can not feel anything inside of my mouth. I had my dentist check to make sure it is not from my teeth. Sometimes the pain is sharp, sometimes dull and sometimes there is no pain. Usually when I sleep on that side or chew on that side seems it gets flared up and starts hurting. I have taken antibiotics for about 10 days couple of times but it does not seem to shrink in size.
