Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does A Painful Protruding Area On The Bicep Indicate?
I have sore, kind of hard, string like things in my right inner bicep area moving into my armpit area. The arm pit area protrudes and is larger than the bicep area when my arm is raised overhead. The bicep area cannot be seen but can be felt. Also their was an initial soreness in my inner elbow area.
You might be having swelling in the biceps. Any kind swellings can appear anywhere in the body. We don't know if it is lipomatous or serious or anything else. For that first we need to examine and then with biopsy or something we will be able to confirm the pathology or if its just lymph node enlarged. So kindly get yourself examined about it and don't worry if it just lipoma then it can be removed very easily under local anesthesia only.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
