What Does A Pale Bump On The Palatoglossal Arch Indicate?
I have had pale bump on my left palatoglossal arch for about 3 weeks now. Hasn t gotten bigger or smaller. I am already dealing with enlarged lymph nodes that I am getting checked out by a doctor. The lymph nodes in my neck were enlarged before this thing appeared so I m not 100% sure if they are related. Freaking out. I m going to schedule a dentist appointment soon due to tooth problems and I will have them look at it.
You have symptoms of a pale bump on the palatoglossal arch which occurs when papillae become irritated and slightly swollen. Need not to worry. It occurs due to dehydration, stress, hormonal changes or acidic and spicy food.
It generally does not require treatment and resolves itself within two weeks.
You should do warm saline rinses 3 to 4 times a day. Maintain good oral hygiene and drink plenty of water.
Apply Dolo Gel on the finger and rub on them slightly. If the condition does not get better in a few days then consult oral pathologist for proper check up and start treatment after proper diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
