hi. I have a question about pelvic ultrasound results. I had surgery to remove a fibroid 6 months ago. Suddenly experiencing irregular bleeding, period pain and ovulation pain. Had ultrasound and results show nothing irregular, except that The myometrium is a little patchy Drs conculsion; it is ovulation pain, take ibuprofen. Consider and IUD or the pill. (I am 35 and took contraceptive pill from 18-30) What might a patchy myometrium suggest?
Hello welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
The patch in myomerium related to fibroid scar. Don't worry about that as per my opinion. You can investigate with serum TSH estimation, serum random blood sugar estimation and pelvis ultrasonography for further work up in your case. For pain relief mefenemic acid or paracetamol tablet simply can be prescribed.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
