Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just had a 20 weeks scan and it dound out that the cisterna magna is prominent. I just wanted to know if its serius? And is there a chance that it could be wrong as during my ultrasound it was hard trying to get a proper look so could it be a mistake or something. And if not whats the cause? Thanks
Hi, a prominent cisterna magna is nothing to worry about if there are no other abnormalities in your baby. Also sometimes it can be wrongly measured due to position of baby, but it doesn't happen generally. So, if everything else is fine, don't worry. Hope I have answered your question . Regards Dr khushboo
