What Does A Prominent Vein On The Penile Shaft Indicate?
So i have this prominent vein at the left side of penile shaft under glans and a thin corlike vein (probably artery) under the dorsal vein. The problem started probably after a prolonged grasp during intercourse. The next day the vein near glans swole under was a little painfull. So i visited two urologists who gave me treatment with antinflamatories and the vein now is close to normal but its still visible. The cordlike one is still there and it seems that it goes over the dorsal when penis is flaccid.Last thing i noticed during intercourse when skin is not fully drawn back dorsal vein becomes a lump and it is actually annoying while having sex
Veins on the penis are very common. The dorsal (top) side of the penis has a particularly large vein. Remember, these veins cause erections. Some people find them quite attractive and others do not. It may also be a case of lymphangiosclerosis.
It is a condition involving the hardening of a lymph vessel connected to a vein in the penis. It can look like a thick cord and can feel like a hardened, almost calcified or fibrous, vein. It tends to not share the common blue tint with a vein however.
It can be felt as a hardened lump or "Vein" even when the penis is flaccid, and is even more prominent during an erection. If you are still concerned you should consult your primary care physician for a physical examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
