What Does A Pulsating Sensation In The Ears Indicate?
hello, I have a pulsing sensation in my ears. It comes an goes. It s not loud, makes no noise, does not hurt. So hard to explain the feeling. I don t know if maybe my blood pressure could be up? It s very annoying. The sensation kind of swells up and then comes back down.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your query you have pulsating sensation in the ears which could be due to localized increase in blood pressure. It could be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction and ear wax accumulation.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take proper rest and drink green tea two times a day. Maintain hygiene and avoid pricking it with sharp object. You should consult ENT specialist once for proper diagnosis and discuss the localized increase in blood pressure with doctor as could be to dysfunction of some small vessel and start treatment accordingly. Doctor may prescribe drug like Eperisone, muscle relaxant and sedatives.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
