What Does A Purple Spot On The Glans Penis Indicate?

I had a purple spot appear on the glans of my penis about a month ago. This does not itch nor is there pain associated with it. This week two smaller purple spots appeared on my shaft. Same thing, no pain or itching. I had protected sex with someone and the condom came off when I pulled out. She also gave me oral sex later that night. About one month later I was tested for STI and the only thing that was positive was HSV 1. I think this might of been positive from a cold sore I had on my mouth the week prior to my test. There is no puss, no fever, no itching or other symptoms. What could this be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. As first-line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
