It has been 3weeks since surgery and a rash began spreading around incision and lump under arm...i went to er last week it is a indefinite inflammation and all cultures came back negative . It is a pain score 8 and incision is not healing why
I can understand your concerns and pain you are facing due to your problem.
Coming to your case, rash around surgical incision is a little bit common. But you had repeated surgeries, so inflammation and rash takes a long time for recovery. Healing takes long time because most the muscle protein around shoulder might have been lost. So it will take much more time for healing.
Follow the below things: 1. avoid heat and humidity 2. Avoid excess sweating 3. prefer cool bath or shower bath 4. Moisturizer creams may cool and soothe the skin 5. Wear loose cotton clothing 6. Using an antibacterial soap 7. Take oral antibiotics and vit-A supplements
Hope you will understand the consequences and act accordingly.
