What Does A Rash Around The Waist Indicate?

Hello Dr Rynne My partner has woken up this morning and actually another morning last week with a rash around the front of his waist and also below where his undies would have been. Funny, not where his undies would have been but just on the waist and just below the leg of his undies. He did go to the pool yesterday for a hydrotherapy class and had left his bathers on all day. Perhaps this did it?? Not sure whether this could have been what happened last week tho. Any ideas? Not a lot to go on is there? Thank you, Donna

It can be due to some fungal infection or allergy for which you take antibiotics like cefadroxyl or zifi-cv after an expert opinion along with cetrizine or Avil for itching or rashes. Apply betnovate-c or clobit-gm cream locally on the affected area. You can take steroids if not improved with above treatment.
