What Does A Rash Below The Breast Indicate?

How to determined if rash is from an insect bite on delayed reaction to new blood pressure med? Am a cyclist & got bit thru my jersey by something 3 days ago. Have a rash at the site. (Below breastline on left front) Cleaned & applied Benadryl cream & taking Benadryl tablet. Still there. Started new b/p med 10 days ago. Could it be a delayed reaction to that med?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I have gone through your medical concern and here is my advice.

Before running into final conclusions, I'd like to have a look at the rash myself to determine the right cause.

From what you are describing, to me there are 2 possibilities:
- skin infection either virus (e.g. herpes zoster) and/or fungal rash
- insect bite.

I'd exclude any possible reaction to new med you are taking to treat high blood pressure because the rash is located below breast line on left front.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
