I have this rash it comes on my back side just below my waist and down toward my buttocks. Also some times on my back. It has just started this week. Is this a sign of Alzheimer s? I read an article sometime ago. Itching in I odd places may be signs of Alzheimer s. I m very concerned..
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. But it certainly is NOT a sign of Alzheimer’s disease. There can be mild changes in blood flow that reverse totally and rapidly, there can be infections like a fungal diaper rash that will generally persist without treatment. There can be bacterial infections, but those tend to be more serious. There can be irritation, or allergic reactions that are quite variable.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
