What Does A Rash Between The Buttocks Indicate?

I have a pink or reddish area right between the cheeks of my upper derrière. It is not a mole, but instead looks like it might be caused by skin irritation from the rub of a seat or from being on long plane flights. It has been present for three months. I have been treating it as if it is a fungus and that has relieved it somewhat, but it is not gone. What next?

Hello
Thank you for trusting HCM
Size of the rash, weather it is itching or not, is it Scaly??

Different cause for rash in this area..

Folliculitis, tenia infection, Allergies, Genetic predisposition, Heat, Sickness and infection, Touching some kind of irritant, An insect bite, Animal dander, Lack of proper personal hygiene
Exposure to chemicals or bacteria while swimming etc

For fungal infection you have to use medication for 2weeks and 1week post clearance.

What about your immunity status, have you using steroids???

Please consult your doctor to confirm the causative and to get proper treatment.

Thank you
