What Does A Rash On The Right Ankle Indicate?

Hello, good evening/morning. I have had a persisting rash on just my right ankle and in between the fingers on my right hand. The ankle rash has been there for about 2 years, while the hand rash has been nearly 10 years and sometimes gets larger and spreads to other parts of my right hand. I believe them both to be from eczema, but I don t understand why it s just my right side and what allergen I am exposing myself to. I have changed diets, environments, clothes, and bedsheets but it never goes away. My main concern is that my ankle rash is caused by a parasite like hookworm, scabies, or bed bug, as I don t hear about eczema on ankles, but the soles of my feet are fine. What could possibly be the cause to any of this? Could stress do it? It has been the only constant. Thank you!

I understand your concern. Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. Some advice that I can give to you are:

1) Take oral antihistamines.
2) Use Calamine lotion for local relief.
3) If you don't feel better consult your physician for further treatment.
