What Does A Rash On The Stomach Indicate?

I am experiencing discomfort of a rash on my stomach. At first I thought it was a ring worm . I have tried everything on it including a prescription cortisone cream. It seems to calm it down and then it reappears. Now I am wondering if it is a fungus of some sort or a food allergy.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You might be having some allergic rashes. Allergy can develop due to several reasons- some foods like egg, fish, pollen grains, animal hair, nylon, terylene clothes. Just try to find out what you are allergic to and avoid it.

Try home remedies. Apply coconut oil daily three times a day for one week. If you are not better, then consult a dermatologist. It can be fungal infection or eczema.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sanjay Kini
