Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had a rash on my upper chest now for about a month. I ve been treating it with first, bacitracin. Then I switched to Hydrocortizone cream. Just yesterday I switched again to Calgel which seems to reduce the itchyness the best. I ve also been taking Zyrtec to help from the inside out. The rash is slightly bumpy and has spread from initially a few spots to now a larger area including my neck. Is it time to see my doctor?
I think, you should visit a doctor to see what type of rash it is and to see what would be the cause.
From what you said cannot be guessed if it is viral, bacterial, allergic or other origin. Do not switch medications by yourself because it may do more harm than good.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
