What Does A Recurrent Rash On The Abdomen Indicate?
I have a rash that occurs a couple of times a year on the right side of my abdomen, kind of next to my belly button. The rash is like an orange peel but is tender. I have had the shingles shot and also had a case of shingles back in 1993 on my face. Any ideas?
what you are experiencing can be a normal phenomenon or can be a pathology. there is some history that needs to be explored in order to understand it. for eg color of rash, time of appearance, aggravating factors, relieving factors etc.
as u fave history of shingles in 1993. yes its possible that varicella virus got reactivated due to low immunity as it remains dormant in our body.
anyhow, for symptomatic relief i wouldsuggest a calamine lotion and an anti histaminic levocetrizine 5mg at night
but for definite treatment please visit a nearby dermatologist and please make it a priority because varicella infection can cause some serious damage. thank you
