General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
The lesions what you are describing appears to be bacterial infection of the hair follicles of the skin called 'Furuncle'.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Clean the area with antiseptic solution like Povidine-iodine thrice daily.
2. After drying, apply Neomycin cream topically over the lesion.
3. Take anti-inflammatory analgesic Tablet. Ibuprofen after food.
4. Wear loose fitting undergarments and avoid friction in the area.
In case the lesion does not subside in 2 to 3 days, you have to take a course of oral antibiotics like a combination of Amoxicillin with Clavulenic acid.
Maintain good hygiene and keep the area dry.
Gradually, the lesions should reduce and subside completely.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
