What Does A Red Rash On The Scrotum Indicate?

I have a red burny rash on scrotum, I clipped pubic hair with someone else s clippers and two days later wore some new boxers that I hadn t washed and was walking around a lot, then got tingling burning rash not so much itchy but quite burny and red up to the base of penis wherever there are hairs, I tried pimufocort but it seems to burn like crazy and I tried canestan and it didn t seem to work either, it s been a few weeks now, I went to doc cos I wondered if herpes but he said def not and gave me the pimufocort, so I m thinking next stop dermatologist?

I dont think this is related to clipper from some other person.
This type of pain and location is suggestive of epididimitis which is inflammation of part of testicle and this not uncommon in males especially in young age. This is usually treated with 10 days of antibiotics, usually ciprofloxacin and there are no permanent consequances. MAsturbation and intercourse should be avoided till pain persist, if possible since I may prolong inflammation course. Some more serious conditions such as tumors or torsion are rare but in doubtful cases you should do Doppler ultrasound or scintigraphy. In this particular case, I don’t think this is required and this should improve on antibiotic therapy.
