Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 40 year old woman with diabetes I have a round circular rash on one of my breasts and one on my palm that is itchy! Upon onnservation of my Body I see one on the inside of my but cheek as well as directly below my stomach close to my Vagina. My son had a ringworm patch on his arm a few months ago that I was treating could I have gotten it?
Your problem most commonly due to ringworm infection as you have family history if ring worm. I would suggest to consult dermatologist and undergo examination and KOH mount to confirm the fungus etiology. Treatment is oral and topical antifungal drug. Tablet Terbinafine once daily. Apply Sertaconazole cream on the affected areas twice daily. Tablet Levocterizine at bedtime if you have itching.
Keep the area clean and dry, avoid sharing soap and towel, stay in cool environment. Take the above treatment for 3 to 4 week under the observation of your dermatologist.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
