What Does A Scaly Rash On The Right Calf Indicate?

Hello Dr. Rynne, I have a an area on my right front calf that has hard scaly area that gets hot and feverish from time to time. The area does not itch but does ooze some times.It is purple/red in color and gets darker when it s flaring. Any idea? I have several autoimmune issues, such as,Sjogren s, RA, & Fibromyalgia.LUPUS is prominent in the family, could this be some sort of Discoid Issue.

Hi,

The narrated issue is inflamed area of the subcutaneous part with overlying scab formation and discharge.

In our clinic, I recommend, regular dressing, antibiotic, anti inflammatory medicines to heal it faster.
