Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have a skin tag on my right arm near the elbow that has started getting bigger. I have transient pain that goes from the arm to the shoulder and at times my leg above the knee hurts. I have been HIV positive for years and my recent labs turned up good results. HIV is undetectable and my CD4 cell count is as it has been for years, in the 300s. i was wondering if the skin tag had possible become more than just a cutaneous papilloma.

What Does A Skin Tag Near The Elbow Indicate?
Hello, It could be a simple papilloma. Nothing much to worry and you can get it removed. Consult a general surgeon and it can be easily removed under local anesthesia. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
