What Does A Small Bump On Upper Back Area Indicate?
Hi, My mum had a small bump on her upper back area and had a dark blackish colour top and was growing more bumpier so pressed it and lots of puss came out . still the bump is there ...though it wasnt bothering her much she said it had begun to pain her a bit lately..it has grown over last two years and once before we had removed puss..its not spreading but lump is not healing and growing slowly.what can it be? she is diabetic..not too high but is diabetic. should i show her to a doc and get it examined?
Let me tell you that the symptoms described by you suggest that you have abscesses. You can better send me a photo of the bump on reports in order to better evaluate it. I suggest using antibiotics medication and anti-inflammatory medication. I also suggest continuing anti-diabetic medicine and maintain good hygiene.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Arup Majumdar, General & Family Physician
