Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query small dark spot on the bottom lips of an infant can occur due to excessive saliva in mouth, due to nipple cracking and due to deficiency of certain vitamins especially Vitamin B12 and it could be hyperpigmentation. Do not panic as it is easily treatable .

I would suggest you to :-

- Apply coconut oil and any good soothing agent on nipples. You can apply glycerin agent as well to prevent nipple cracking.

- Also apply vitamin C oil at night.

- Apply kojic acid cream twice a day which is natural extract of mushroom and safe for use.

- Give Becosules syrup to child.

If condition doesn't start getting better then consult dermatologist/ pediatrician . Doctor may prescribe steroid cream and start proper treatment.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
