Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a small lump on my shin about 6 inches below my knee. It is hard to notice but is slightly raised, is moveable upon applying pressure and is sore when pressure is applied. It s a few inches below a wound I had which took over 2 months to heal and the scab fell off just this week. I went to a clinic today and they have asked that I do an ultra-sound of this area. Do you have any thoughts on what this issue might be? Thank You. Martin
yes, it could be a lipoma, a benign tumour which is not carcinogenic. but further evaluation is important as we need to see what exactly it is. also a biopsy would be better. we need to know the the growth pattern of the lump.
