What Does A Small Painful Bump On The Side Of The Mouth Indicate?

Hi, my name is Gwen, the right side of my mouth, right above the esophagus, I can feel a small painful bump. It s just far enough that I can touch it with my finger. What can this be. I have noticed this for the last few months. The the cost of this,I can see my doctor. Thanks but, no thanks.

Painful swelling could be the result of many possible reasons such as infection, decayed tooth or impacted tooth.

If I were your doctor I would have done a thorough clinical examination and radiographic investigation which would have led me to the correct diagnosis.

Kindly visit a dentist.
