Trying to determine if now is the time to see a dermatologist. I got a sore on my right hand more than a month ago and it s not healing and I also have a sore on my left hand that is not healing either that when I haven t had quite as long. The concern is they re both very round and I have had skin cancer on one of my hands before and I don t recall which one it is so I just was trying to look up I forgot the name of the cancer that is the bad one how do I tell what melanoma looks like? The cancer spot I had removed on my hand previously was a basal cell so it wasn t of any danger. However I used to be a sun worshipper for many many many years and have been treated several times for pre cancer which is absolutely a miserable treatment

Hello,
As you had the bad history of sun exposure, premalignant lesions, and skin cancer, then you should be examined for skin cancer by biopsy of the lesion. Please get in touch with your cancer surgeon or any local surgeon as soon as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
