What Does A Spot On The Penis Indicate?

ive had a spot come up on the head of my penis out of no where. Ive given it a bit over a month to go away but there is no sign of it doing so. The skin of the spot is very smooth and feels thinner than the other skin and feels different to the touch. It appears to look like a scar. Like from a carpet burn or eraser burn almost. However ive had no injury. There is no pain or discomfort. Im just very concerned about it showing up out of no where and not going away. Ive searched online for answers but found nothing. Any help would be great. I can provide a picture if needed.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
