What Does A Swollen Area Shown In Ultrasound During Pregnancy Suggest?
I am 5 weeks pregnant and doc saw swollen area when completing ultrasound. She said that area may be swollen bc that s where egg got released. She told me to come back in two weeks. She said at that time she will look for yolk sac. My dates may be off. Why is that area swollen?

During your menstrual cycle, your ovary naturally swells up as an egg matures and prepares for release. The findings in your ultrasound may suggest the same.Do not worry.You are probably ovulating right now since the egg has released from ovarian follicle.
