What Does A Tender Lymph Node On The Neck Indicate?

I have lymphadenopathy, had an FNA done, no markers found, early results do not indicate cancer or lymphoma. Am in the middle of a course of Augmentin (5th day on a 10-day course), and no improvement, but rather the lymph node on the right-side of my neck is now tender. Additionally, it appears as though a vein is now raised and tender behind the right ear. I am scheduled for an incisional biopsy a week from tomorrow but am getting concerned...

* As per my clinical experience, this indicates secondary changes in the existing lymph node core.
* Till you get the excision biopsy, only analgesic care and avoidance of panic are recommended for you.
