I am scheduled to have a urodynamics pain procedure, with a camera inserted in my bladder. what does this test entail and what are they looking for? I have been in severe pain bedridden three years this month with spine issues and now the neurosurgeon wants this all checked out before low back surgery. I have diagnosed with fibromyalgia as well with osteoarthritis.
this examination is done by a endoscope also called cystoscope. it is used to evaluate function of detrusor muscle, bladder contractile function, bladder sphincter function , capacity of bladder. u are suffering from fibromyalgia. so before spine surgery it is must to rule out any neurogenic bladder possibility.
