What Does A Very Faint Positive Reading Of A Home Pregnancy Test Kit Indicate?
I took a pregnancy test this morning and got a positive but it was a faint line then took another one abiut an hour later and got positive but even fainter than the first one then throughout hours took two more which both said negative. Do you think I am pregnant or not?
Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM. Faint line appearing in pregnancy test with kit could be due to false positive and cannot be concluded. Provided you have missed your periods or there is a delay in getting your periods and since urine pregnancy test is inconclusive, you need to go for blood test. Kindly get your blood sample tested for serum beta-HCG. If the levels have increased substantially, get yourself clinically examined by a Gynecologist and ultrasound scanning done to confirm regarding the same. Hope the information provided would be useful. All the best.
