Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a nerve under the skin on my finger that I can see. It s like a long white line, extending over my full second knuckle. I m wondering if anything should be done about this or if it s totally normal? When I scratch it my finger feels cold. I m concerned what might happen if I ever get a small cut on that finger and it hits that nerve. Shouldn t it be further under the skin? It s the only hand nerve I can see- just the one on my right hand index finger.

A visible vein of the finger, or hand is very normal, unless it has been caused by trauma, or is inflamed. Please do not worry about it. Just carry on with your normal routine, and all will be fine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
