Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does A Warm Sensation On The Hip And Buttocks Indicate?
for the past week I have been experiencing a warming sensation on my right hip and buttocks area. it comes in waves and only last for about 5 or 6 seconds. there is no pain and I have had no injuries. I am 51 and male. Not a diabetic at least I wasn t.
As far as it is not creating trouble to you in your daily activities, appears not a reason of concern so far. Its just a sensation and there is no pain or itching then should not be a reason to worry.
It might be there after you sit for a long duration at one place, you can pay attention to the timing and presence of any type of stimuli for it. If it bothers you a lot then you can pay a small visit to a physician for the same.
Whenever a patient comes to me with such symptoms I reassure him regarding it after careful examination and taking the history of any significance is there.
So my advice to you is see your doctor and get your doubts cleared. As you said you have no health issue like diabetes. You can maintain great health with regular exercise and a good diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
