Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does A Warm Sensation On The Left Side Of The Face Indicate?
I am having a warm sensation on the left side of my face at about the cheek bone area, accompanied with some mild left eye irritation. It started this morning after I got up to go to work, and I isn't going away. It isn't hot to the touch but it feels warm to me
A warm sensation on the left side of the face seems due to nerve entrapment, weakness or paralysis of the muscles on one side of the face and it could be due to facial nerve dysfunction. Sometimes could be stress and anxiety as well.
I would suggest you take proper rest, and try to reduce your stress. Do massage and therapy of facial muscles. Keep yourself hydrated and consult an oral physician for proper diagnosis. The doctor may conduct the various test to confirm the diagnosis and may prescribe muscle relaxant and anti-inflammatory medications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
