Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a same whitish moveable bump on the side of my tongue. It moves around when I touch but doesnt hurt. It s like a piece of skin is keeping it attached to me. It also kinda spilt at the too of it or the part that is the farest from the attached part. I also have a cold which may be a reason too I m not sure. The white part is kinda pointy and seems zit it pimple like. It also is kinda seems. Please tell what it May he because I found it today when I woke up
As per your explanation it seems to be a pedunculated growth with a thin stalk connecting the bump to the tongue..
It can be a wart, hematoma, hemangioma etc but a clinical exam is a must for diagnosis.. It can also be hypertrophied or overgrown tongue papillae that contains taste buds..
Consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like x ray, biopsy etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be advised accordingly..
As of now avoid traumatising it by repeated touching or eating very hard foods..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
