What Does A White Fluid Filled Bump On The Back Indicate?
I have a bump on the back of my neck that fills with a white-ish stringy, pasty fluid every year or so for the past few years. I have my wife squeeze it out and then it is fine for a long period of time. The skin then smooths out to normal. It came back a couple of nights ago and it is full but will not squeeze out. Do you have any idea what this could be?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the description, it appears that what lesion you are having with filling of whitish fluid in the bump appears to be sebaceous cyst. It needs to be examined clinically and it confirmed, it needs to be removed surgically by means of simple excision. Kindly do not intervene by squeezing, as it may become infected when aseptic precautions are not followed. If left alone, it may become infected and cause more problems later on. Kindly consult Surgeon in this regard promptly for its evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
