What Does A White Line In The Field Of Vision Indicate?

i had jagged white line to float and was very bright for about 10 minutes. Even if I closed my eyes it was there. Can you tell me what it was. I could not tell if it was in one or both eyes but it was in my line of vision. YYYY@YYYY
