What Does Abdominal Pain On The Right Side Indicate?

I have had a bladder infection for over a week now. Symptoms were pain in right abdomen when walking, frequent need to urinate, mild burning and am constipated. Doc put me on Cipro 5 days ago. The urine test results came back today, positive with cloudy urine and higher white blood count. I finish cipro on Wednesday. Dr. Wants me to report back to him on Thursday, and perhaps do another urine test. Am drinking lots of water. Took some laxative pills today. Still have mild pain when walking, constipation and frequent urine probably due to drinking much water. Do you think I am on the right track medically? My email is YYYY@YYYY . I cannot pay for an answer.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be suffering from renal colic or pyelonephritis of kidney as urine analysis is suggestive of infection. You need to undergo ultrasonography of abdomen and X-ray KUB for further workup. CT scan is definitive test for diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
